How Do I Add a Bottom Navigation Bar in Figma?

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool - now available for free in its public beta phase - which aims to take the pain out of designing user interfaces.

If you're anything like me, one of the first things you'll want to do when you start using Figma is to add a bottom navigation bar to your design. This can be easily accomplished using the 'Rectangle' tool and the 'Align' options.

To get started, create a new frame (or select an existing one) and then click on the 'Rectangle' tool in the left-hand sidebar. Draw a rectangle that covers the entire width of your frame, and then position it at the bottom of the frame.

With your rectangle selected, open the 'Align' options from the top toolbar and click on the 'Center Horizontally in Frame' icon. Then, from the same menu, click on the 'Bottom of Frame' icon.

Your navigation bar is now in place!
