There are times when you need to cut out a shape from an image in Photoshop. This can be for many reasons, such as if you want to create a icon or logo, or even just for fun.Whatever the reason, it's not as difficult as you may think. In fact, with the help of some basic Photoshop tools, you can easily cut out any shape you want in just a few minutes. Here's how to do it:
1. Open your image in Photoshop. If you're working with a JPG or other common image format, open it by going to File > Open. You can also drag and drop the image into the Photoshop workspace.
2. Select the "Pen Tool" from the toolbar. This is located near the top of the screen, and looks like a pen tip. Alternatively, you can press P on your keyboard to select it.
3. Use the Pen Tool to trace around the shape you want to cut out. As you move your cursor around the image, you'll see small dots appearing. These are called anchor points, and you can click on them to create straight lines, or curves by clicking and dragging.
4. When you've finished tracing around the shape, right-click and select "Make Selection." This will select everything inside your traced area.
5. Press Ctrl + X (or Cmd + X on a Mac) to cut out the selection. Alternatively, you can go to Edit > Cut in the menu bar. Now you can paste (Ctrl + V or Cmd + V) the selection into another document or canvas.
