Making a photo card in Photoshop is easy and fun! Follow these simple steps and you'll be on your way to creating amazing cards that will impress your friends and family.1. Start by opening Photoshop and creating a new document.The dimensions of the document will depend on the size of the card you want to create. For this example, we'll use a standard 4"x6" photo card.2. Next, you'll need to add your photo to the document.If you're using a digital photo, simply drag it from its location on your computer into the Photoshop document. If you're using a printed photo, scan it into your computer first and then drag it into the document.3. Once your photo is in the document, you can begin to edit it to create the perfect card. To start, double-click on the layer containing your photo to open the Layer Style dialog box.4. In the Layer Style dialog box, select "Color Overlay" from the list of available options. This will allow you to change the color of your photo with just a few clicks.5. To change the color of your photo, simply click on the color swatch next to "Color."A color picker will appear and you can choose any color you like! Once you've chosen a color, click "OK" to close the color picker.6. Now that you've changed the color of your photo, it's time to add some text!To do this, click on the "T" icon in the toolbar at the top of Photoshop. This will create a new text layer in your document.7. With your new text layer selected, use the Type tool to type out whatever message you want on your card.For this example, we'll write "Happy Birthday!" Make sure to choose a font and size that will be easy to read from a distance.8. To change the color of your text, simply double-click on the text layer in the Layers palette and select "Color Overlay" from the list of options just like we did before with our photo layer. Choose any color you like and click "OK" when you're done.9. Now that our text is looking good, let's add a little bit of flair with some borders!To do this, select both your photo layer and text layer in the Layers palette and then click on "Create Clipping Mask" from the options at the top of Photoshop (it's denoted by two overlapping circles). This will make it so that anything we do next will only affect our two layers and not anything else in our document.10. With our clipping mask in place, go back to our toolbar and select the "Rectangle Marquee Tool." With this tool selected, draw a rectangle around your entire card design - don't worry if it's not perfect, we can adjust it later!11. Now that we have our rectangle selected, go back up to our options at the top of Photoshop and click on "Stroke."This will bring up another dialog box where we can control how thick we want our border to be and what color it should be as well! For this example, we'll choose a black border that's 3 pixels thick. When you're happy with your settings, click "OK."12: Our border is now in place but it's not quite perfect yet - there are some hard edges where our rectangle was not perfectly straight! To fix this, simply select both yourphoto layer and text layer again in the Layers palette (make sure they're still clipped together) and then go up to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur . . This will bring up yet another dialog box where we can control how much blur is appliedto our image! For this example, we'll applya radiusof 3 pixelsand then click "OK."13: And there we have it! Our beautifulbirthday card is now completeand readyto be sent offto our lucky recipient!
