How Do You Edit a Mockup in Photoshop?

When you open a mockup template in Photoshop, you’ll see a group of locked layers and an unlocked layer called “Your Design.” To edit the mockup, double-click on the locked layer called “Your Design” and add your image. If you need to resize or move your image, hold down the shift key while you drag the corner handles to keep the image proportional. Then click on the “Create new fill or adjustment layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel and choose Levels. Drag the white input slider to the right until it reaches 250 and click OK.

To change the color of your design:

With your image still selected, click on the “Create new fill or adjustment layer” icon again and choose Hue/Saturation. Drag the Saturation slider to the left until it reaches -60 and click OK. Now, to apply a color overlay, create a new layer and fill it with black.Set the layer mode to Color Dodge and lower the opacity to 20%.

To add a textured background:

Open an image of a texture that you want to use for your background. Drag it into your Photoshop document and position it behind your design. Change the layer mode to Overlay and lower the opacity until you’re happy with the effect.

That's it! You've now learned how to edit a mockup in Photoshop.
