How Do You Make a Galaxy Background in Photoshop?
In this tutorial, we'll learn how to create a galaxy background in Photoshop. We'll be using a few basic Photoshop tools and techniques, and we'll also be using some free Photoshop brushes that you can download from the internet. Let's get started!First, let's create a new Photoshop document. Go to File > New, and create a document that is 1920px x 1200px.Then, go to your foreground color picker and choose a dark blue color. Once you have your dark blue color selected, go to your background color picker and choose a light blue color. Now that you have your colors selected, go ahead and click on the "Create" button.
Next, we'll add some stars to our background. Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer), and then select your Brush Tool (B).Choose a small, soft round brush, and then set your brush opacity to around 20%. Paint some small dots all over your background layer to represent stars.
Now we'll add some nebulae. Nebulae are large clouds of gas and dust in space. To create our nebulae, we'll be using some free Photoshop brushes that you can download from the internet. I've included a link to the brushes I used at the end of this tutorial.
Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer), and then select your Brush Tool (B). Choose one of the nebulae brushes from the set you downloaded, and then set your brush opacity to around 50%. Paint some nebula clouds around your stars.
To add some more interest to our background, we're going to add some galaxies. Galaxies are large groups of stars that are held together by gravity.Just like with our nebulae, we'll be using some free Photoshop brushes to create our galaxies. Again, I've included a link to the brushes I used at the end of this tutorial. Choose one of the galaxy brushes from the set you downloaded, and then set your brush opacity to around 50%. Paint some galaxies around your nebulae.
The last thing we're going to do is add some lens flares. Lens flares are created when light reflects off of a camera lens. They usually appear as bright streaks of light in photos. To create our lens flares, we'll be using another free Photoshop brush that you can download from the internet. Choose one of the lens flare brushes from the set you downloaded, and then set your brush opacity to 100%. Paint some lens flares around your galaxies.
Conclusion:
That's it! You should now have a beautiful galaxy background.Remember to experiment with different colors, sizes, and brushopacities to get different effects. Have fun!
