There are many ways to overlay pictures in Photoshop, but one of the most popular methods is to use the "Layer" tool. This tool allows you to place one image on top of another, and then change the transparency of the top layer so that the bottom layer is visible. You can also use the "Eraser" tool to remove parts of the top layer, revealing the bottom layer beneath.To use the "Layer" tool, first open both of the images that you want to overlay in Photoshop. Then, click on the top image in the "Layers" panel and drag it down so that it is underneath the bottom image.Next, click on the "Layer" menu at the top of the screen and select "New Adjustment Layer." Choose "Gradient Overlay" from the list of options.In the Gradient Overlay dialog box, choose a color for your gradient. You can also adjust the transparency of the gradient by dragging the Opacity slider. Once you're happy with your settings, click "OK."Now, your top image should be overlaying your bottom image. If you want to adjust the transparency of the top image, double-click on the "Gradient Overlay" layer in the "Layers" panel and change the opacity setting.
