Is Photoshop Mobile Free?

Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Inc. for Windows and macOS. It was originally created in 1988 by Thomas and John Knoll.Since then, the software has become the industry standard not only in raster graphics editing, but in digital art as a whole. The main reason for this is because Photoshop allows its users a great deal of freedom to manipulate images.

One of the most common questions we get asked here at PhotoshopCAFE is “Is Photoshop Mobile Free?”

And the answer to that question is… it depends!

If you’re talking about the full, desktop version of Photoshop CC, then no, it’s not free. However, Adobe does offer a free trial that you can use for 30 days.

If you’re talking about the scaled-down mobile app version of Photoshop, then yes, it is free… at least, it is if you have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. If you don’t have a Creative Cloud subscription, then you can still use the app, but you’ll be limited to working with low-resolution files (no more than 1600 pixels on the longest side).

So there you have it! Whether or not Photoshop Mobile is free depends on which version of Photoshop you’re talking about. If you want to use the full, desktop version of Photoshop CC, then you’ll need to sign up for a Creative Cloud subscription (which includes a free 30-day trial). However, if you just want to use the mobile app version of Photoshop, then it is free… as long as you have an active Creative Cloud subscription.
