What Are Tokens in Figma?
Tokens are design elements in Figma that can be reused across your design projects. They can be colors, text styles, gradients, or even components. By creating tokens, you can keep your designs consistent and save time in the long run. There are four types of tokens in Figma:
ColorsYou can turn any color into a token. This is useful if you want to use the same color across multiple projects or maintain a consistent color palette. To create a color token, simply select a color in the Inspector and click the "Create Token" button. You can then give your token a name and description.
Text StylesText styles are another type of design element that can be reused with tokens. To create a text style token, select some text in your design and click the "Create Token" button.
GradientsGradients can also be turned into tokens. To create a gradient token, select a gradient in the Inspector and click the "Create Token" button.
ComponentsComponents are reusable elements in Figma that can be turned into tokens. To create a component token, select a component in your design and click the "Create Token" button. You can then give your component token a name and description.
