Variants are a powerful way to manage different versions of your design within a single file. With variants, you can create alternate versions of an element, and then switch between them with a single click.For example, you might create a variant of a button that uses a different color scheme, or a variant of a text layer that uses a different font.

Variants are especially useful when you're working on a design that needs to be adapted for different screen sizes or devices. With variants, you can create a separate version of your design for each screen size or device, and then quickly switch between them as needed.

To create a variant, first select the element you want to create a variant of. Then, click the "Create Variant" button in the properties panel.

In the "Create Variant" dialog, give your variant a name, and then choose whether you want to create a new version of the element, or duplicate an existing one. If you choose to duplicate an existing element, you'll be able to select which one you want to duplicate from the drop-down menu.

Once you've created your variant, you can switch between the different versions by clicking the "Variants" button in the properties panel. This will open the "Variants" dialog, where you can see all of the variants for the selected element. To switch to a different variant, simply click on its name in the list.
