What Is Batch Processing in Photoshop?
Batch processing is a Photoshop feature that allows you to apply an action to a group of files. This is useful when you need to resize, rename, or convert a large number of files. To use batch processing, you first need to create an action. Then, you can select the files you want to process and specify the action you want to apply. Photoshop will then process the files according to your specifications.Batch processing can save you a lot of time when you need to perform the same task on multiple files. It is a particularly useful tool for photographers and graphic designers who often need to resize or convert large numbers of images. With batch processing, you can automate these tasks so that they take less time and effort.
To create an action, go to the Window menu and select Actions. Then, click the Create new action button at the bottom of the Actions panel. In the dialog box that appears, give your action a name and description. Then, click the Record button to begin recording your steps.
Once you have recorded your steps, you can stop recording by clicking the Stop button in the Actions panel. You can now test your action by selecting a file and clicking the Play button in the Actions panel. If everything looks good, you're ready to use your action in batch processing.
