Founded in 2012 by Dylan Field and Evan Wallace, Figma raised $14 million in seed funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers, Greylock Partners, Index Ventures, Initialized Capital, and Design Studio.In 2015, Figma launched the first version of their product out of private beta and raised an additional $8 million in Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz. In 2016, Figma closed a $25 million Series B round led by Dragoneer Investment Group with participation from GV (formerly Google Ventures). And most recently in 2019, Figma raised $52 million in Series C funding led by Sequoia Capital with participation from Kleiner Perkins, Index Ventures, GV, and Coatue.

Figma has now raised a total of $103 million from some of the biggest names in venture capital. With this latest round of funding, Figma is now valued at $1.6 billion.
